Hello, I’m Kamila, the Nursery Manager at Katey’s Nursery and Preschool, Ham. I’m thrilled to bring over 20 years of experience in early childhood education to our wonderful community. With a degree in Early Childhood Studies and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I’ve dedicated my career to creating nurturing environments where children can explore, learn, and grow through the power of play.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with children from diverse backgrounds, from just a few months old to age five. I’m passionate about understanding how early experiences shape a child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development. I’m especially fascinated by the role of play in learning and how these early interactions set the stage for a lifetime of curiosity and success.
I believe that fostering independence, choice-making, and critical thinking is key to developing confident, creative adults. Supporting emotional intelligence and self-esteem equips children with the skills needed to face the challenges of the modern world.
Having seen firsthand the impact of a supportive and engaging environment, I’m committed to creating a space where every child feels valued, secure, and inspired.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading psychology books, science articles, playing badminton, swimming, and exploring art galleries. I’m excited to be part of your child’s early education journey and look forward to working closely with you to build a strong foundation for their future.
