My name is Takwa and I am originally from Tunisia. I speak both Arabic and English fluently and have been working with children for 20 years across all age groups – 6 very fulfilling years of those have been with Kateys Nursery & Pre-School. I am very passionate and dedicated to what I do (some people say it, I really mean it!) Working with children for many years, and being part of a high performing and market leading nursery at Katey’s, has equipped me with the full array of skills necessary to understand, help, support and coach children to achieve their learning goals and personal potential.
One of my great professional joys is leading Makaton sessions with the children. They show such excitement and enthusiasm, and gain so much from these lessons… It is truly lovely to see and hugely rewarding for me personally.
Throughout my years of education, I have gained many qualifications and more recently leadership & management qualifications, which I use to pass on my enthusiasm and love of teaching to the team at Kateys in Kingston.
Outside of work I love gardening, learning about other cultures, and appreciating the open and diverse world we all live in.
